Welcome to National Geo History — a history documentary platform exploring the stories, civilizations, empires, archaeological discoveries, and mysteries that shaped our world.
From the ancient civilizations of India, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome to lost cities, forgotten kingdoms, ancient wars, temples, archaeological discoveries, and historical mysteries, we bring the past to life through cinematic storytelling and research-based documentaries.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to make history fascinating, understandable, and accessible to everyone.
History is more than dates, names, and battles. Behind every ancient city, empire, monument, artifact, and archaeological discovery is a story about the people who lived there.
At National Geo History, we explore these stories through visual storytelling, historical research, maps, reconstructions, archaeology, and documentary-style narration.

History of India and the Ancient World
India and South Asia have some of the world’s oldest and most fascinating historical traditions. From the Indus Valley Civilization to ancient kingdoms, powerful empires, medieval dynasties, and the events that shaped modern South Asia, our documentaries explore the region’s history alongside the wider story of the ancient world.
Our goal is to connect these stories with the broader history of human civilization.
Research-Based Storytelling
We aim to separate historical evidence, archaeological findings, traditional accounts, and theories wherever possible.
When a historical subject contains unanswered questions or competing interpretations, we present the available evidence and explain the different perspectives rather than presenting speculation as established fact.
Some stories come from ancient traditions and historical texts, while others are supported by archaeological discoveries. Understanding the difference makes the story even more fascinating.
